About OTHC

Welcome to OTHC

The Oregon Trail Havanese Club was founded in 2005 by a group of Havanese dog owners and breeders from Oregon. It was the desire of the founding members to create a club that is educational, supportive, and fun for all Havanese dog owners.  We welcome Havanese lovers and owners who would like to join us in supporting and sharing this breed with others.

The Oregon Trail Havanese Club is an AKC Licensed club. Our official territory is Oregon's Willamette Valley, from Portland to Eugene. OTHC members participate in a variety of activities with their Havanese, including showing (conformation), obedience, rally, agility, nose (scent) work, barn hunt, lure coursing, and just having fun with their dogs.

The club has also been approved as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with a focus on education.

The club is participating in the AKC Mentor Program.  We have mentors in the areas of Agility, Conformation, and Obedience. If you would like to have a mentor, see the AKC Mentor page to learn how to participate.
