Meet the Breed
January 20, 2023 - Portland
Several members and their dogs participated in the Meet the Breed presentations at the Rose City Classic. In addition to introducing Havanese to a variety of visitors, the four-legged ambassadors had fun doing some tricks.
Obedience and Rally Class
October 2022 - January 2023
Club member Linda Ruedy organized a class to prepare members for exhibiting their dogs in Obedience and/or Rally. The class combined in-person, Zoom, and emailed resources. Several members and their dogs were ready to successfully exhibit at the January 2023 Specialty!
All Breed Eye Clinic
Co-hosted with Puget Sound Miniature Schnauzer ClubAugust 2, 2020 - Lake Oswego
Veterinary Ophthalmologist Sarah Maxwell examined eyes on 80 dogs. The clinic was especially needed, as shows were shut down due to COVID-19. As a result, dogs came from as far as Seattle, Astoria, and Prineville for exams.
Pat Hastings Structure in Action Clinic
February 29, 2020 - Oregon City
Pat Hastings, AKC judge and author, provided a full-day seminar to an audience of nearly 60 participants, representing over 30 breeds.
